About

Desmond Beasley is Capture Cleveland Photography’s owner, CEO and lead photographer. He graduated from Garfield Heights High School in a suburb of Cleveland in 2005 and pursued his passion for dance and theater by earning a bachelor’s degree in dance at the University of Akron.

Following graduation, Beasley taught dance in Ohio and beyond. Visiting more than 60 different cities and four different states, Beasley left an incredible impact on the dance community during his 12-year career.

Throughout the years, Beasley took pictures of his students, friends and family at various events. Now back in the Cleveland area, this hobby has become a career with Capture Cleveland. Beasley’s goal is to provide quality photography services with a personal touch. With Capture Cleveland, he gets to know his clients, putting them at ease while he’s behind the lens for their special life moments.

When Sam was about eight on a family vacation in Washington D.C. He saw a camera laying on the ground and decided to take it. For the rest of the trip he took pictures of anything that interested him. It came as quite a shock when the family started looking through the photos and found a bunch of random people. After an initial scolding Sam was given an old camera for his birthday that following year. It was later in High school that Sam learned How to make prints from 35mm film and in College at Cuyahoga Community College learned about digital photography and processing.

Inspired by the greats such as Bresson, Capa, and Frank. Sam brings a candid and humanist approach to his work. Currently Sam is Co-owner of Capture Cleveland Photography specializing in weddings and life style photos as well as personal projects photographing the people and places of Cleveland the city he now resides.

Scott Terranova is Sound Precision Entertainment’s CEO and president and now joins the ownership team of Capture Cleveland Photography, LLC.

A Northeast Ohio native, Terranova graduated from Garfield Heights High school in 2003. Following high school, he took his talents to Mount Union College (go Purple Raiders!) where he majored in history and triple-minored in adolescent young adult integrated social studies, American studies and political science. He taught at Garfield Heights City Schools while growing SPE. Eventually, the business demanded more attention, and he made it his full-time career.

Now that SPE has captured the Cleveland market, no pun intended, Terranova seized on an opportunity. He knew he could use SPE as a spring board for Capture Cleveland Photography. “Vendors need to work together for the success of themselves and their clients, why not have multiple companies under one roof”, says Terranova.  This idea has blossomed into the partners new creed: 4 brands, 1 partner.
